Celebrating Our 22nd Annual Art Issue.
By Gwen Rizzo
Some art has the ability to reach out and grab your attention from a mere glimpse, that moment when your eyes pass along art and then suddenly lock onto it, leading you to contemplate its meaning. Most times this happens when there is an intensity radiating from the art, whether it be from action such as on the polo field, racing down a track, across a hunt course or coming out of a bucking shoot; concentration during a dressage competition or as horse and rider navigate a jumping course; a workout with draft horses; or unrelenting love between horses or horse and rider. As we celebrate over two decades of bringing you awesome examples of equestrian art from some of the most talented artists in the country and even around the world, we hope that their intensity catches your eye! |
